Title: 2016-010 Jr. Accountant

Company: DESE Research. Inc.

Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) in accounting.

Experience: At least 3-5 years relevant accounting experience with a government contractor. Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Deltek GCS Premier. Deltek Cost Point Foundations experience a plus.

Skills:

Payroll: Responsible for all payroll processing including entering timesheets; processing payroll; preparing and vouchering payroll taxes; preparing labor reports for management; account reconciliation; prepare/file all payroll tax returns; manage all employee deductions; prepare W-2’s; annual audit of worker’s comp insurance; other duties as assigned.

Accounts Payable: Responsible for all AP processing including preparing/filing use tax returns; quarterly dividends; insurance payments; consultants; travel; etc. Maintain the depreciation schedule. Other duties as assigned.

Position is part-time to start, but has potential to develop to full-time for the right candidate. Strong understanding of GL Accounting is a must, and QuickBooks experience is required. Any additional experience in government contract accounting and / or tax is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred.
