Huntsville Alabama – Chapter 136 Chapter Information
The Huntsville chapter of AFWA was chartered on December 4, 1982, with 35 members. Our membership is comprised of women who work in every area of accounting — education, government, private industry, and public, as well as students.
CHAPTER MEETINGS usually are held on the third Tuesday of each month at the Holiday Inn on University Drive. Meetings may be held at lunch time or during dinner time, so do plan in advance to review our newsletter for meeting details. A guest speaker is featured at each meeting, and programs of technical and educational value are offered, along with a wide range of other topics of interest to professional women. Reservations are required for dinner; however, you may attend the program without a reservation. In addition, an informal networking luncheon is scheduled monthly on the first Thursday at various locations in Huntsville. Members are encouraged to come anytime between 11:30am – 1:00pm.
A SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM has been established to assist students who are regularly enrolled in an accounting, finance, or related field at accredited schools. Applications are available in the Spring. Tutoring for accounting students may also be provided as needed.
